Nyskapende jazz og raga
Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir er en allsidig og nyskapende gitarist, vokalist og komponist, med en idé om at musikk er en viktig måte å knytte verden sammen og oppnå forståelse. Hennes musikalske reise har gjort at hun blant annet har jobbet med raga i India, gnawa i Marokko, sirkusartister i Etiopia og palestinere i en flyktningeleir i Libanon. Hun har spilt med Ashraf Sharif Khan, vært med i Bugge Wesseltofts «New Conception of Jazz», i bandet Moksha og i gruppa «New Concetptions of Raga». I fjor høst debuterte hun med det kritikerroste albumet «Marble», der musikken er inspirert av hennes reiser og møte med musikere.

Innovative Jazz
Oddrun Lilja Jonsdottir is a versatile and innovative guitarist, vocalist and composer, who expresses the idea that music is an important way to draw the world closer, towards understanding. Her musical journey has meant that she has worked with raga in India, gnawa in Morocco, circus artists in Ethiopia and Palestinians in a refugee camp in Lebanon. She has played with Ashraf Sharif Khan, joined Bugge Wesseltoft’s “New Conception of Jazz”, the band Moksha and the group “New Concetptions of Raga”. Last autumn, she debuted with the critically acclaimed album “Marble”, with music inspired by her travels and encounters with musicians.
